Salvo, Malbec, Valle de Uco, Argentina

This bright, perfumed wine from high up in the Uco Valley was made by the Malbec masters themselves David Bonomi and Edgardo del Popolo of PerSe. It balances seductive floral notes with bright acidity and chalky tannins, resulting in a wine that’s both serious and highly drinkable.

The vineyard the grapes are sourced from is at around 1250masl, with alluvial / sandy / clay soils The grapes are hand picked into small baskets then partially destemmed before a natural fermentation with 25% whole bunch in concrete with a further six months ageing in concrete.
